Announcing a workshop for anyone interested in telling stories - in the
classroom, library, place of worship, formally or informally, to children or
adults.
March 9 to 11, 2002.
Location in Northwest Baltimore.
We begin on Saturday evening, continue all day Sunday, and Monday until late
afternoon.
In this two and a half day workshop, you'll have a chance to be coached
intensively -- and supportively -- by one of the leading teachers of
storytelling in the country. Take advantage of this chance to be coached on
your storytelling -- and to watch others be coached, take risks, and grow.
Doug is the author of four books, including "The Storytelling Coach: How to
Listen, Praise, and Bring Out People's Best" and "Improving Your
Storytelling."
Here are some comments from other workshop participants around the country:
"An excellent experience....Helped to put me in a much more powerful place."
"I enjoyed every moment of the workshop. Every activity was purposeful and
respected the way each of us constructs our understanding. We were in charge
of our own experience every step of the way."
"Doug is a great teacher. Very clear, patient, an amazing listener who is
willing to courageously assist a teller get unstuck, find the heart of the
story, and value his/her strengths."
The cost for the workshop is $295. Doug can take charges if you like on his
